The Automatic Release System allows releasing heavy objects, such as rafts, mass evacuation systems or EPIRBs, among other objects that certify the safety of crew and passengers of the vessel.
They can be installed in several types of vessels and allow to save space at the deck by being placed out of the way or in places with most difficult access by crew. It also enables the reduction of crew safety risks, once that its activation is made among a control remote panel, even if automatic or manual, which does not forces the displacement to difficult access areas.
The system contains a hydrostatic made of fiberglass reinforced with nylon, resistant to corrosion of salt, rust and waterproof and by a remote control panel that allows to release the raft as soon as possible. This releases objects up to 1700 kg and is approved according to SOLAS standards and EU directives.
The electronic system is indicated for a bigger number of life rafts and it’s possible to associate until 10 rafts or other safety equipment to the system, in a maximum distance of 1000 metros, which make it a more complex system.
It is controlled for a remote control panel that will activate one or more hydrostatic integrated in the system. It is fed through the emergency generator and also features a backup battery.
The system accomplishes automatically a check-in test, once per hour, in order to verify anomalies and has a digital display to ensure correct and accurate information.
All the system and installation are waterproof and are designed to resist against adverse maritime conditions.
An annual system check shall be made and the hydrostatic be replaced every two years.
